OPEN / CLOSE INSTRUCTIONS
Opening Winter (November - April) 1.Turn off alarm 2.Flip on hot water heater electrical switch at box. 3.Flip on water switch in box (outside, NW corner of main house) * 4.Behind Chicken House turn the faucet alone open (to left), and then two together you close, (to right) (they are the drains). 5.Turn on hot water heater inside Tool’s Nest (work shop), elec. Box 6.Open toilet faucet under sink in main house (we turn this off because it runs sometimes and runs up the electric bill) Summer (May – October) 1. Turn off alarm 2. Flip on hot water heater electrical switch at box. 3. Turn on hot water heater inside Tool’s Nest (work shop), elec. Box 4. Open toilet faucet under sink in main house (we turn this off because it runs sometimes and runs up the electric bill) 5.Behind Chicken House turn the faucet alone open (to left), and then two together you close (to right) (they are the drains). These fill up with dirt from the squirrels so you may have to use the trowel to dig out faucets. Closing Winter (November - April) 1.Turn off toilet under sink in Main House 2.Close drapes in dining room. 3.Flip off hot water heater switch at electrical box. 4.Flip off water electrical switch at box * 5.Open faucet at pump house and well, drain both, then close faucets.* 6.Close single faucet and open two faucets behind Chicken House * 7.Drain sink faucet in C.H.* 8.Turn off hot water heater at electrical panel in Tool’s Nest. 9.Shut off toilet in C.H. 10.Check electric blankets 11.Unscrew battery cap on truck. 12. Set Alarm to Main House Summer (May – October) 1.Turn off toilet under sink in Main House 2.Close drapes in dining room. 3.Flip off hot water heater switch at electrical box, leave electrical and water ON. 4.Turn off hot water heater at electrical panel in Tool’s Nest, leave water ON. 5.Shut off toilet in Chicken House. 6.Unscrew battery cap on truck. 7.Set Alarm to Main House Always Turn off space heaters when leaving the house for any time. Do not even touch the Buckboard (wagon) behind the house. Very fragile!! Fill wood box, leave wood and kindling for next person. Strip beds, wash sheets and, fold and lay back on beds. Washing in warm water will allow washer to fill faster. Cover all furniture, close drapes, leave $50 in cup on desk for maid ($60 if you used the Chicken House). She will clean and make up beds. And, please water plants around house. *Note: If water pressure is low clean screens out in faucet, shower head, or washing machine hose. They collect sand and stop them up. Make sure all heaters are unplugged. Close doors between rooms. Leave money on desk in kitchen for maid, please. Never leave any food in the refrigerator or freezer.
